Governance Team Parent Nomination

Commerce Elementary School Governance Team

The Commerce City School System is a charter system.  As such, a Governance Team comprised of 2 parents, 2 teachers, the principal and 1 community member has been formed at each school.  This team meets approximately 6 times per year to make decisions regarding budget expenditures to support the overall school program.  The meeting calendar is set during the first meeting to help members plan ahead.   All team members, with the exception of the principal, serve 4-year terms.

A parent member’s term ends this year, and we need to elect a parent to join our team.  All parents are welcome to nominate themselves or someone else, and all parents receive a vote.  Nominations will be taken 4/17-5/12.  Elections will be held in an open meeting on 5/15 (4th grade transition night) at 6:30 and 5/16 (2nd and 3rd grade transition night) at 6:00.  If you would like to be considered, please write your name below or email or call Mrs. Lindsey, Principal.
