Parents, we need your help keeping our student body healthy as we finish out these winter months. We understand that childcare can be a challenge, however, sending your child to school while sick has a large impact on our school. You will receive a letter from our school nurse detailing our school illness policy. Mainly, please keep your child at home if they are sick. Illness is defined by a fever of 100 degrees or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, frequent coughing, consistent pain in their ear/stomach/etc., and/or a new and spreading rash. Thank you for helping us keep our students well!

Good Afternoon! On Friday, January 31, your child will participate in a student survey regarding our school. The survey which is created by the Georgia Department of Education provides feedback for our school staff while also contributing to our school's annual climate rating. If you have specific questions about the survey or would prefer your child not participate, please contact your child's teacher by Thursday, January 30 at noon. You are also encouraged to participate in the parent survey https://survey.gadoe.org/FM?sid=B9CBD9E8. Your feedback is appreciated!

If your child rides the bus, you should add 2 hours to their typical pick-up time (ex. typical time is 6:30- tomorrow the time will be 8:30). Dismissal will occur at the regular time. The Book Fair is a GREAT time to donate to our Books-giving benefitting the children of WNC. If you purchase a book to donate, make sure you write a note while you are in the library and leave it in the donation bin. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

We have had around 150 books donated for our Books-giving & Blessings! Some of the books contain sweet messages from the families that brought them in, but for some of the books purchased through our Amazon Wish List, we asked Mrs. Brown’s 4th Graders to write encouraging notes inside. The children of Western North Carolina are going to love these gifts! We need 500 books, so keep the donations coming!
